Will Sydney jump on the Manly bandwagon?

The 2008 NRL Grand Final is almost here and thankfully at least ONE Sydney team is part of the action. The Manly Sea Eagles will go up against our rivals, the Storm from down south this Sunday.

The question is, will Sydney jump on board and back the Sea Eagles? Will this in fact be a Sydney vs. Melbourne event? Who will you be going for?

All that matters is that now Sydney will at least have some audience watching. Unlike the AFL Grand Final, which had two Melbourne teams playing. Did anybody actually show any interest in it...?

New Google phone. A threat to iPhone?

Google has just launched its new phone called 'G1' and it looks to be a threat to Apple's iPhone. Even though it won't be available in Australia for quite some time, this new phone which resembles the iPhone is considerably a lot cheaper. Will this impact Apple's sales? Would you suddenly sell your iPhone 3G on eBay and buy the new G1?

Seriously... why is Google now making phones?

The new Facebook - Put up or shut up!

Ok so what? Facebook developers have decided to give the site an upgrade. Ok, some items may be moved around and changed about. But hey, let's not say we haven't had time to adjust. Facebook announced the new design several weeks back and those who wished to be first to adapt to the new layout could do so very easily.

Throughout the transition period, Facebook have given us the option of switching between the new and old websites. Let's face it... they were to phase out the old website at some point in time - no matter what.

So for all the groups and members whinging about the new layout for Facebook, please give us a break. Just put up or shut up. If you're not happy, go back to MySpace or Bebo.

The Big Bang Re-enactment

Some say it was a success, while others argue that it should had never been done. Scientists have expierimented with the world's biggest atom-smasher and so far, so good. After critics claiming that this machine could potentially wipe out the entire globe, many have awoken today in relief that they're still alive. Doomsday parties were held around the world yesterday in the fear that the Earth would be sucked into a black hole, similarly to what happened billions of years ago.

The question still remains... what are those who thought the world was going to end doing today?

Have they woken up wishing it did actually all end yesterday?

Bye bye Morris! Nathan who?

After so much bad publicity and political pressures, Morris Iemma has handed in his resignation as the Premier of NSW. Sure it may be seen as a relief to many, but the question remains - was he pushed? Or did he leave on his own? Iemma has handed over the reigns to Nathan Rees and Carmel Tebbut as his deputy.

Will this mean a better state for NSW? Or will it just be the same shit with a different smell?

Symonds ditches cricket for fishing

Andrew Symonds is in a bit of strife after ditching cricket training for some good old fishing. It now looks like he'll be paying the consequences for doing such a silly thing. That's sarcasm kids! This is bull... give him a fair go. You shouldn't doubt somebody's commitment to a sport simply because they prefer to be fishing. There would have to be a lot of officials that'd prefer to do the same.

Leave Symonds alone. He's just doing the typical Aussie thing of chucking a sickie.
