Cub Sport

^^

When: Friday 12th April
Where: Enmore Theatre

Brisbane 4-piece Cub Sport will embark on their biggest headline tour to date as they take their new album, the self-titled 'Cub Sport', on tour around the country throughout April. 'Cub Sport' by Cub Sport was primarily recorded and produced by frontman Tim Nelson, including tracks co-produced with Golden Vessel and Calvin Valentine. The album will be released globally on January 18, and available digitally and physically on the band’s own label ‘Cub Sport Records’ (via MGM and Believe). Whilst previous album ‘BATS’ captured a very transformative time in Tim’s life, chronicling his coming to terms with and embracing his identity, the new album is the product of Tim activating all the lessons learned during the process. “This is the first body of work I’ve created entirely since being out, so in a way, I feel like this is the first album I’ve written entirely as myself and it feels powerful.” – Tim Nelson. ‘Cub Sport’ will be the first body of work released by the band since members Tim Nelson and Sam Netterfield‘s recent marriage, and delves deep into their experiences of self-discovery, learning self-love, being ‘out’, getting engaged and married, living their truths, as well as navigating and embracing the complex reality of suddenly being very open with who you are with the world.

David Gray

^^

When: Tuesday 16th April
Where: Enmore Theatre

“…David Gray had the audience with him from the moment the lights went down and the love they threw at the stage didn’t let up” – The West Australian. “Gray’s honest songwriting and passionate performances have earned him what today’s transient pop stars could only wish to have – loyal fans in it for the long haul” – Herald Sun. After scaling enormous heights with album sales over 12 million (including the highest selling album ever to-date in Ireland with ‘White Ladder’), BAFTA, Brit and Grammy nominations, a Q Award, two Ivor Novellos and much more, David Gray returns revitalised with a new perspective, energy and new sound to take to his adoring Australian fanbase. The English singer-songwriter’s breakthrough album ‘White Ladder’ first introduced him to Australian audiences in 1998 and was a showcase for his tempered roar of a voice, as it is for his finely-honed powers of social observation. His wit’s-end ballad “This Year’s Love’’ proved that it is often the simplest emotions that hit the hardest. In 2005 Gray’s seventh album ‘Life in Slow Motion’ debuted at No.8 in the Charts in Australia and was followed by ‘Draw The Line’, ‘Foundling’ and ‘Mutineers’ all hitting the charts in Australia. David’s eleventh studio album ‘Gold In A Brass Age’, will be released in early 2019 and will be performed live in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne next April along with his back-catalogue of career-defining songs. With a loyal Australian fanbase and a plethora of albums to enjoy, there’s no doubt tickets to see David Gray live in Australia this April will be in high demand.
